Well, I never made any claim to the image, the macro is mine, but just because it's on someone's old gallery doesn't mean it's theirs. That picture's been around forever. So unless I have some sort of request from said person I'm letting it be at that. I found this originally on Google on some random fan site- and have since seen it on several others. And I have seen it on dA in may places too (from several people).

So thanks for taking a small bit of fun and turning it into a pissing contest.

Now if you'll excuse me I have better things to do than harass strangers over a copper-line connection...

Regardless of what others have done (because just saying that you've seen it everywhere else is an excuse; others are at fault themselves for using the image without permission or giving credit) the original picture had an original creator. You made the macro, no argument for that, but giving credit to the original work and artist is simply a nice and respectable gesture.

I'm really getting tired of being hammered on for this picture, it's been up forever now and all of a sudden I have you pains in the ass harassing me because of it.

So you're right! I will credit the original creator! -

Castiel is property of Warner Brothers and we'll call him "Model X" was photographed out of a Calvin Klein/Levi/etc advertisement. Which was I bet found on the internet by the actual artist without knowing where it came. Neither of which were credited by this so called "artist" either, so how about flaming them instead?

And that's fine if you think it's nice and respectable for a gesture but the wonderful thing about this rock we live on is that opinions are like assholes; we all have them and typically no one likes anyone else's. I've had my own work macro'ed and not credited which didn't offend me in any way. So what? Unless someone's claiming the art as their own in addition or making some profit off of my work then what's it doing to me other than bringing awareness to my work?

It's disheartening seeing how I'm catching shit from people who this doesn't even concern or pertain to in the least despite having had no qualms with either dA or this "artist" on the matter.
